Affiliate Disclosure

Plain-English disclosure of how 2Bitcoins is funded and why it never buys an exchange a better rating.

The short version

2Bitcoins is free to read. We make money through affiliate partnerships: when you open an account with an exchange, DEX, or platform through a link on this site, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you, and often alongside a sign-up bonus that goes to you. That commission keeps the data, reviews, and tools free. It does not influence which exchanges we recommend or how we score them.

Which links are affiliate links?

Assume that any outbound link to an exchange, DEX, crypto card, or deal may be an affiliate link. To be transparent and to comply with search-engine guidelines, every affiliate link on this site is tagged with rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page's HTML. Links to primary sources, documentation, regulators, and news outlets are normal editorial links and earn us nothing.

Why affiliate status doesn't change our ratings

  • Ratings are written first. Our star ratings and written reviews are based on public fee schedules, documented security history, regulatory filings, and CoinGecko Trust Score data — decided before any commercial agreement is considered.
  • Listings are sorted by trust, not by payout. Exchange rankings are ordered by CoinGecko trust-score rank, not by whether we have an affiliate deal in place.
  • We review platforms we don't earn from. Many exchanges and coins covered on this site have no affiliate program at all. We still cover them when they matter to readers.
  • We flag the bad as well as the good. Where a platform we earn from has been hacked, fined, or restricted, we say so plainly in the review.

Not financial advice

Everything on 2Bitcoins is general information, not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Cryptocurrency is volatile and high-risk; you can lose money. Fees, bonuses, and availability change frequently — always verify the current terms on the platform's own website before depositing. Do your own research and never risk more than you can afford to lose.
